We’re proud to announce that Fusion Now has been nominated as a finalist of Women in Trucking’s “Top Companies for Women to Work for in Transportation.” Our company is the only nominee from the lead generation, marketing, or recruiting sectors of the industry.
My experience in transportation had not always been positive prior to Fusion Now regarding gender equality. My first job in transportation was for a ‘good ole boys club’ carrier at which I was sexually harassed, with the company remaining indifferent. I had previously been disregarded in many rooms, regardless of the content of my ideas, due to my gender. Today, my thoughts are listened to. From growing professionally due to the training I’ve received here to the exposure I have been introduced to in the industry, I could not say better things about Fusion Now. The entire team recognizes hard work, and is dedicated to gender diversity.

What happens now?
There is an online ballot on which to cast your votes until July 3. Any user (in the transportation industry or not) may vote for a maximum of 10 companies on the ballot. Each of the nominees aims to excel in the following areas:
- A corporate culture that’s supportive of gender diversity
- Flexibility in hours and work requirements to accommodate family and life balance
- Competitive compensation and benefits
- Training and continued professional development
- Career advancement opportunities
After voting is closed, a list will be published of the 2022 Top Companies for Women to Work For in Transportation.
I don’t sit too comfortably on either side of the gender binary’s implied roles. From being the only lady lifeguard that liked to wear shorts to not understanding why I was not allowed an office upstairs, I faced challenges finding my place in other work environments.
